Low Calorie Hot Chocolate Recipe

What could be better than a nice cup of hot chocolate this time of the year? Here is a recipe for a yummy cup of hot chocolate without all the sugar and calories of a regular cup. It makes a nice creamy treat on these cool winter days.

Low Calorie Hot Chocolate

Ingredients:
  • 2 cups skim milk
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup Splenda
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 3 tsp cornstarch

Directions:

  1. Mix the cocoa powder, Splenda, and sugar together in a medium saucepan.
  2. Combine the cornstarch with the water. Add the mixture to the coacoa poweder mix and blend until smooth.
  3. Put the mixture on medium low heat. Gradually add the milk, stirring constantly.
  4. Bring the chocolate mix to a simmer. Let it simmer for 10 minutes, stirring it often.
  5. When the hot chocolate becomes smooth and thick it is ready to serve.
